U.S.D.A. Child Care Food Program (CCFP)

Small Wonders Child Care participates in the Florida Child Care Food Program which is funded by the U.S. Department of Agricuture. The Child Care Food Program (CCFP) was established in 1968 in response to the need to provide adequate nutrition to children in day care. Good nutrition, the development of healthy eating habits and learning about food choices are vital building blocks for young children. Provisions must be made to ensure that these building blocks are in place in order to promote good health throughout life. The goal is to asure that well-balanced meals are served and that good eating habits are taught to the children in our center.
